Emily Hunter Salveson is an American film financier, producer, and the CEO and founder of EHS Media Capital.
Established in 2015, EHS Media Capital is a company that provides tax equity financing to the film industry by bringing in investors who enjoy substantial returns through tax savings. Investor tax savings are the source of capital for the equity investment, as certain state and federal tax provisions provide tax savings as incentives to invest in film. EHS Media Capital completed its first film finance deal in 2015 with the historical nonfiction feature film, Union Bound. Union Bound premiered at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in April 2016, and was distributed theatrically nationwide by a subsidiary of Universal Pictures. EHS Media Capital, in strategic partnership with Clear Sun Corporation and EEXCEL Communities, is expanding into other tax-incentivized markets, such as energy tax credits, low income housing tax credits, and new market tax credits. EHS Media Capital retains tax and entertainment consultants to advise on tax planning and project strategy. Emily Hunter Salveson was born and raised in south Orange County. She graduated from the University of San Diego in 2009 with a B.A. degree in English.
